Addis Ababa set to host the 59th International Health Fair and Medical Conference
The Ethiopian Medical Association (EMA) is a membership organization representing medical doctors registered to practice in Ethiopia. The keystone initiative undertaken by the Ethiopian Medical Association, The Annual Medical Conference and International Health Exhibition, held for the 59th consecutive year this year, will be held as a closed live/virtual hybrid event with the theme “Roles and responsibilities of professional associations, physicians, the public, and stakeholders in modern medical practice: opportunities and challenges” from March 17—18, 2023.
The Annual Medical Conference (AMC) is a hybrid virtual/live event that brings together national and international speakers and is an excellent platform for networking and sharing knowledge, research findings, and medical practices. The AMC will feature panel discussions on the year’s major theme, moderated by seasoned and experienced speakers, CME sessions with CEU units, and the presentation of over 25 scientific papers. This year’s AMC is expected to attract 400 esteemed medical figures and decision makers. This event is held in conjunction with the Intonational Health Exhibition (IHE). This Exhibition features interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and presentations.
The event is expected to draw over 2,000 people, including representatives from various health professional associations and specialty society, Medical College Heads, Specialists, Decision Makers, Government bodies, and the medical community at large. Amongst many other, the speakers at this year’s event include Dr Lia Tadesse, Minister of Health; Dr Osahon Enabulele, President of the World Medical Association; Dr Ayele Teshome, State Minister of Health; and Ato Jima Dilbo, Director General of the Agency for Civil Society Organizations.
