The Big Apple International Sets to Join the Hospitality Industry
The Big Apple International, owner of New York New York Café and Restaurant, which is located on Africa road, is to open a 4 stars standard hotel- New York New York Addis Hotel, which is planned to be operational starting September, 2013, Heran Tesfaye, marketing manager of its sister company, Cosmo Trading told EBR.
The new hotel facility which is built on a land of 669m2 on Bole Road next to ESCAS trading and in front of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will have 50 bed rooms.
“We are currently importing the furniture needed for the hotel from China and Dubai,” Heran told EBR.
New York New York Addis which will cost more than 75 million Br by the time it will go operational will employ more than 200 people.
“We have served our customers coffee and lunch in New York New York café and restaurant. Now, the plan is to provide a full package service to our customers,” said Haileysus Mengistu, managing director of The Big Apple International.
New York New York Café and Restaurant, which was established a decade ago costing a capital of 5 million Br, was the talk of the town at the time of its establishment.
The Big Apple International is one of the sister companies of Cosmo Trading, a company known for its import of beauty supplies.
