Raxio Ethiopia Welcomes Degol Gossaye as New General Manager

Degol Gossaye has been appointed as the General Manager of Raxio Ethiopia, a prominent provider of carrier-neutral data centers across Africa. This announcement comes at a pivotal time for Raxio Ethiopia, following the recent launch of its flagship facility in Addis Ababa in November 2023. Degol will take over from Bewket Taffere, the outgoing GM who played a crucial role in establishing the Raxio Ethiopia brand and overseeing the construction of its Data Centre.

Robert Mullins, CEO of Raxio Group BV, expressed confidence in Degol’s abilities, citing his extensive managerial experience, strong commercial background, and intimate knowledge of Ethiopia’s financial services industry. With 18 years of experience in the financial sector, Degol has held various commercial and leadership roles. Prior to joining Raxio, he served as the CEO of Ethio Lease, the first foreign-owned financial services company in Ethiopia. He has also held the position of General Manager at Sun Optical Technologies and a joint venture company of Essilor. Degol brings valuable expertise in the banking sector, particularly in operations, credit management, and digital transformation projects.
