Dashen Bank Reports Significant Growth in Total Assets
Dashen Bank announced that its total assets have reached ETB 183.7 billion, reflecting a growth of 27 % over the last financial year. The bank held its 31st regular and 26th shareholders’ meeting today at Millennium Hall, where it discussed its performance from the previous year, plans for the upcoming fiscal year, and other relevant issues.
Dula Mekonen, Chairman of the Board of Dashen Bank, reported that during the fiscal year, the bank’s deposits increased by ETB 30.9 billion, bringing the total deposits to ETB 145.9 billion. He noted that the interest-free banking service sector contributed significantly, with deposits amounting to ETB 11.1 billion.
The CEO of Dashen Bank, Asfaw Alemu, highlighted the bank’s successes despite facing various challenges last year. He reiterated that the total assets reached ETB 183.7 billion, with a growth of 27%. He also mentioned that the bank gained 1.44 million new customers during the last financial year, which significantly contributed to the increase in total deposits.
Currently, Dashen Bank serves more than 6.7 million customers and recorded a profit of ETB 6.4 billion in the last fiscal year.
