AACCSA to Begin TV Program
Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (AACCSA) is preparing to begin a one hour television program. The chamber has concluded an agreement with the Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency to start transmission of the program as of February 2013, the Relations and Media Department of the Chamber said.
The TV program will have four components: pioneers of business in Ethiopia, roundtable discussion, interview with CEOs and a business report on major local and international business issues. The chamber is currently soliciting funding from its development partners to run the program.
In addition to the television program the chamber is planning to establish its own FM radio station. The plan has been included in the five years strategic plan of the chamber which was tabled for discussion at its 8th general assembly meeting held recently.
For long, the AACCSA has been running a 30 minute radio program on the FM 96.3 station. The radio program has been running twice a week for the past several years.
