Dashen Bank Launches Ethiopia’s First Banking Super App
Dashen Bank has launched the Dashen Bank Super App, the first of its kind in Ethiopia. This platform aims to change digital banking by offering an all-in-one solution designed to improve customer experience and streamline banking operations.
Asfaw Alemu, CEO of Dashen Bank, highlighted the bank’s focus on customer service during the launch. “With the Dashen Bank Super App, we are taking our digital banking services ‘one step ahead,’ enabling us to provide safer and more efficient services,” he stated. The app features an interface that integrates personal and business banking functionalities, allowing users to manage multiple accounts, transfer funds instantly, and access credit services based on their transaction history.
One key feature is the A1-powered self-onboarding process, which ensures customer identity verification and data management. The Super App also includes interest-free banking options compliant with Sharia law.
Additionally, the app facilitates “Three Click Shopping,” enabling customers to make purchases and receive virtual cards for security. The integration of third-party applications allows users to book flights and access various services directly within the app.
With future phases planned, including access to microloans and savings accounts, Dashen Bank aims to lead in banking technologies. The Dashen Bank Super App is available for download on iOS and Android, setting a new standard in Ethiopia’s banking landscape.
