Sugar Privatization Garners Interest Ahead
Currently the Public Enterprise Holding and Administration (PEHA) is in the process to hire transaction advisors to privatize the ten sugar projects failed in the government hand.
At the same time, number of letters are arriving at the Ministry of Finance from private investors, showing strong interest to buy the projects, according to Brook Taye (PhD), senior advisor at the Ministry.
On the other hand, the ministry is also evaluating modalities on how to reform and privatize the railways, in which mainly foreign companies will be invited to overtake the rails, wagons and service management.
