Dula Mekonnen Re-Elected Chairman by Dashen Bank’s Board of Directors

Dshen Bank’s newly elected Board of Directors has chosen to re-elect Dula Mekonnen as its Chairman. The decision was made during the 30th ordinary meeting of the bank’s shareholders, and Dula’s re-election took place during the Board’s inaugural meeting held on February 13, 2024.


Dula Mekonnen currently holds the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer in the Mining sector of Midroc Investment Group. Having qualifications of BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering and an MSc Degree in Business Administration from Adama Science and Technology University. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.

Over the course of his 24-year career, Dula has served in various leadership positions in institutions such as Wonji Shewa, Metehara, and Fincha Sugar factories. He has also held leadership roles at Limu Coffee Development PLC, Fincha Sugar Factory, Ethio Leather Industry PLC, and Horizon Plantation PLC.


Following the transition, the new Board of Directors has assumed responsibilities from the outgoing Board and has established sub-committees. Dashen Bank provided an overview of its current performance and activities to the newly appointed Board during a briefing.
