The number of cars caught crossing Ethiopia’s border illegally in the 2012-13 fiscal year.  The number of cars entering into Ethiopia has grown by leaps and bounds in the past few years, according to sources close to the issue. This growth in the number of cars in Ethiopia is especially true in Addis Ababa. In the past three years alone the number of cars that entered to the roads of Addis Ababa with a license plate code of ‘2’ (private use vehicles) has accounted for close to 50Pct of all the city’s cars.

The illegal entering of cars through the Somalia and Kenya borders has been immense in previous years, but with the strengthening of border control and ERCA’s modern systems, the trend is slowly decreasing. In 2012-13, however, the government caught 1,089 cars attempting to cross the border illegally.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that we had a great time at Marina de Bolnuevo in September of this year (http://www.marinadebolnuevo.co.uk/about-bolnuevo). We flew into Alicante and hired a car from the airport for the short drive to Bolnuevo. The beaches are superb, most of them awarded the Blue Flag. The cafes were great, with paella on the beach a must and managed a day on the nudist beach there. Very liberating. We also visited the Big Guns, The Roman Mines and the Sand sculptures. Will be returning there again next year. Look forward to catching up with you at Marina de Bolnuevo in the next few months. Thanks for reading Niall.
