Now days, it is very common to hear a loud speaker on minibuses roaring around Addis Ababa with big posters of patients’ photo requesting help from residents to cover costs for medical treatments abroad, which they could not cover by themselves. This is more evident around churches and mosques during holidays.

For the last twelve years in a raw, Mustafa Siraj, 39, a father of three has used fertilizers on his three hectares of farming land in order to increase the production of maize, a crop that he frequently harvests.

Ethiopian obtained USD 22 million

Ethiopian Airlines has secured USD 22 million loan from the PTA Bank, the Eastern and Southern Africa Trade and Development Bank on Monday, September 9, 2012. The loan will go to financing the first phase of the Airlines housing project which aims to build 1,192 houses for its employees, according to Ethiopian CEO Tewelde Gebre-Mariam.
