"It is not up to the standard and it is not advised for anyone to consume the products of Classy Water," Wondimu Filate, communications director of Ministry of Trade, told EBR.
The allegation, however, is denied by the management of the company. "Our products were certified by both the Enterprise and the Food, Medicine & Healthcare Authority three months ago,. We have not made any changes since then," said Muluken Gasu, finance manager of the company, who claimed that he was informed about the Ministry's in a letter.
Founded in 2007, Classy is one of 60 water bottlers in Ethiopia.
